Join Us: Meet & Mingle — Lt. Gov. John Rogers & Kurt Wright Speaking — May 3rd

By Steve Mayfield on April 3, 2026April 3, 2026
Eagles Club at sunset — South Burlington, VT

This spring, the Republican Party of Shelburne and Charlotte is hosting a Meet & Mingle — an evening designed to bring our community together, celebrate our shared conservative values, and lay the groundwork for a strong showing in the upcoming elections. Whether you’re a lifelong Republican or just starting to get involved, this is the event for you.

📅 Event Details

  • Date: Sunday, May 3rd, 2026
  • Time: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Location: Eagles Club, 1233 Shelburne Rd, South Burlington, VT
  • Tickets: $40 in advance | $50 at the door

🍽️ Great Food & Drinks to Keep You Mingling

The Eagles Club knows how to feed a crowd — and they’ll be doing just that. Expect a tempting spread of appetizers crafted in-house: think warm, savory bites and crowd-pleasing favorites that are perfect for grazing as you work the room. It’s not a sit-down dinner, but that’s the point — the food is there to fuel the conversation, not slow it down. Grab a plate, grab a drink, and keep the introductions going.

There will also be a cash bar on hand, so whether you’re a beer-and-a-handshake kind of person or prefer a glass of wine while you chat, you’re covered. The atmosphere will be relaxed, welcoming, and energizing — exactly what a great community event should feel like.

🤝 Get to Know Your Conservative Neighbors

One of the most powerful things we can do as conservatives is show up — for each other, for our towns, and for the future we want to build. This event is a relaxed, welcoming opportunity to meet the people in Shelburne and Charlotte who share your values. Whether you want to talk policy, swap ideas, or just enjoy good company, you’ll find your people here.

🏛️ Could You Be the Next One to Step Up?

Vermont needs strong conservative voices at every level of government — from town select boards and school boards, all the way up to the State House and beyond. We are actively looking for motivated, principled conservatives who may be ready to run for office. If that thought has ever crossed your mind, come to this event. Talk to us. You might be exactly who your community needs.

🎤 Featured Guest Speakers

Vermont Lt. Governor John Rogers with his family

Lt. Governor John Rogers

We are thrilled to welcome Vermont Lieutenant Governor John Rogers as a featured speaker. A proud family man and dedicated public servant, Lt. Gov. Rogers brings a grounded, common-sense conservative perspective to everything he does. Come hear directly from him about the challenges and opportunities facing Vermont — and what we can do together to move our state in the right direction.

Kurt Wright at the WVMT microphone

Kurt Wright — Former State Rep & Voice of WVMT

Also joining us is Kurt Wright — longtime Vermont State Representative, former Burlington City Council President, and the familiar conservative voice that Vermonters tuned into on WVMT 620 AM for years. Kurt has been a tireless advocate for Vermont families and a principled voice for common-sense conservatism at every level. We’re excited to have him back in the conversation.

More speakers may be announced — stay tuned!

💰 Help Fund the Fight — This Is a Fundraiser

Beyond the conversation and community, this event is an important fundraiser for Republican candidates running in the upcoming elections — both at the state and national level. Winning elections takes resources, and every dollar raised here goes directly toward supporting principled conservatives who will fight for lower taxes, individual liberty, strong families, and a government that works for the people.

Your ticket purchase and any additional contributions make a real difference. Thank you for investing in Vermont’s conservative future.

John Rodgers cast the vote that let men marry men and women marry women, a Rhino for sure.

He also voted against S.55, major Gun Control. He doesn’t vote Parties, he votes his conscience. If a politician doesn’t vote with your stance on every issue, that shouldn’t disqualify him from running.

Listen to his stance. Hear his convictions. Make your choice.
There are far worse options in every election.
